FOOD FOR THOUGHT

- The first 3 days will determine the rest of your cleanse... those who start strong will finish strong... 



- "Variety is the spice of gluttony"; I heard that from a raw food guru awhile back, makes the point to enjoy simple and clean nutrition... 



- I'm concerned for people who feel like they need "recipes"... (boy would they be in trouble if they were ever stuck in the woods for a couple days)...



- For 10 days, the challenge is to not be entertained by food; just eat what's on the list and be OK with it (meat, veggies, fruit, nuts/seeds, oats/rice/beans)...

  

- Pretend you're a caveman/cavewoman for a period of time; eat simply and thankfully for the nourishment you're able to aquire - a piece of fruit is a beautiful thing when it's given your attention and isn't surrounded by a bunch of other stuff...



- There is something magical about sacrificing or "going without" IF you start the process strong and break through to the point of enjoying the sacrifice versus feeling like you're sacrificing...



- But I understand we have a life to live... if I have a lunch appointment at Chipotle... it's OK... I'll order a burrito in a bowl with rice, beans, chicken, pico, lettuce (maybe guacamole)... notice there is NO wheat tortilla, NO sour cream, NO cheese... you can comply with the cleanse regimen ANYWHERE with a little desire and creativity...  



- OK so if you want another fun idea then make some chilli... 

(no cheese or crackers though)...



- My most productive and inspired times often happen during a cleanse, and I hope the same for you too... let this 10 days be a jumpstart to a better you...



- One discipline typically fuels other disciplines... consider reading a new book when you start your cleanse... what discipline can you add for the next 10 days that may open doors in life that might currently be closed?...

Nutrition Plan

Nutirition Guidelines for the Challenge;

Days 1-10
Eat Plenty
1) Veggies; raw and steamed (helps aid in scrubbing your system)
2) Fruit; fibrous, low gylcemic choices (apples, grapefruit, berries)
3) Healthy fats; avocado, nuts/seeds, olives/ olive oil
4) Clean proteins; feed muscle and reduce appetite (tuna and salmon aid in cleansing, eggs/ chicken/ lean beef are secondary options. No processed meats.
5) Clean Complex Carbs; rice, hummus, oatmeal
5) Water, water, water.  Often we mistake hunger for dehydration. 

Avoid or Minimize
1) Fried foods, refined sugars, corn or white starches, or bread
2) Wheat products; bread, crackers etc
3) Dairy; cheese, yogurt, milk, white sauces or dressing
4) Alcohol;  YOU CAN DO IT! (10 DAYS)
5) Coffee or Soda; drink water and Spark instead

Days 11-14

We will eat a Burn and Replenish Diet.  Consistent with the above, less restrictive, and in a 3:1 cycle.  This Layout will be provided for you.  Ordering additional supplements such as Advocare MuscleGain, Catalyst, and Thermo Plus will help you reach your goals with this eating pattern.  They help keep your Protein/ Carb ratio on target, and help with appetite control, muscle retention, increased metabolism for optimal fat burning.

YOU SHOULD NOT FEEL LIKE YOU ARE STARVING.  IF YOU ARE STILL HUNGRY WHILE FOLLOWING THE GUIDELINES, LET US KNOW.  WE WILL HELP YOU ADJUST THE ROTATION OF BURN AND REPLENISH DAYS.  IF YOU ARE "SLIGHTLY" HUNGRY BEFORE BED..? THIS IS NORMAL, ITS MEANS YOU ARE BURNING FAT.

Welcome to the Challenge! You are here because you are ready to make a change, a shift in your lifestyle.

The Advocare 24 Day Challenge is scheduled to start Monday January 30th and run through Feb. 22.  This is a breakdown of the 24 days and what to expect.

Days 1-10
Our goal is to Restore Balance to the body, Break food cravings, Help with weight-loss.  We do this by using the Herbal Cleanse.  The Herbal Cleanse consists of the following; Fiber drink, this is a scrub brush for our system.  Next, Probiotics, good bacteria that helps boost our immune system and aids in digestion.  And finally, the Herbal Cleanse tablets, natural nutrients that help cleanse the kidney and liver.

In addition to the Cleanse, we use the following products to help us with this process.

Omega Plex, there are so many benefits to omega 3 fatty acids. During the cleansing process they help restore regularity and improve your blood profile.

Spark, an energy and mental focus drink with a low sugar profile.  Contains lots of nuero actives and nuero nutrients that help with your focus and energy.

Finally we couple these products with a Nutrition Program to reach optimal results. (see Nutrition Program below).

Days 11-14

Continuing with our Nutritional Program along with exercise, and our MNS Vitamin packs we start to reap the rewards of our discipline.  The cravings are gone, and you start to feel like a "Super Human".
